I'm going away this weekend, and wont be able to make the normal stuff, as we do the same as you. I'm still bringing pouches because it's convenient, otherwise the kitchen setup has to come with us. I see it as buying myself the odd takeaway when I can't be bothered to cook.

@Laura ok glad I'm not alone here... I stupidly read comments ppl put about being lazy etc an it's easy to give them what you have.. yeah that's OK if your at home we're ok.. thanks for making me feel not so alone an guilty 🙂

We're going away soon too and have bought a few pouches for days out mainly, the rest of the time I'll try to feed him what we're having eg some mashed avo/sweet potato or other stuff were eating but cut appropriately - I think pouches are handy when you are away! X

We went on a weekend away and I took some pouches. I think as long as its not their whole diet its okay every now and then. You can't make everything and need convince foods sometimes.

The BBC just published an article about this, the main problem is that they don’t contain enough nutritients for the babies. But it could only become a problem if you solely rely on pouches as the baby’s full diet. Here’s the article if anyone’s interested.
