Can’t nurse without pillow

Is anyone else still stuck to their breastfeeding pillow? I use a my Brest friend and I do love it but I feel like I can’t nurse without it. My baby has had latching issues since day one so I think she’s particular about positioning & I’m bigger chested so that might be a factor too? It’s super frustrating though because I feel like I can’t just pull my boob out and feed her wherever, I feel confined to only feeding her in bed, sitting up, with my pillow. Not to mention she’s regressed back to needing a shield again. I just thought we’d be at the point where I could nurse a lot more casually by now but it’s still feeling really mechanical and I’m getting frustrated and just starting to feel over it :( any tips?

It sounds like potentially she may have a tongue tie? If you can get that checked out I would. I'm in a similar boat, I use a pillow, larger chest & each time she's grown I've had to make changes. If there no pillows when I'm out I've used jackets/crossed legs. Also, if you don't already, rolled up muslin under the boob, makes a huge difference.

@Lizzy she had a lip and tongue tie but we got them both released when she was 6 weeks old! She’s now 4 months & we’re still struggling with latch 🥲
