Eliminating Bottles?

Hey all, I am wanting to eliminate bottles for my 1 y.o, Im starting with the morning bottle, I feed her a good breakfast varying with fruits, yogurt, waffles/pancakes, eggs, sausages, etc. I try to do 4oz whole milk in a toddler cup which she drinks from just fine and usually wants more. Would it be fine to just not offer the bottle anymore? Cold turkey cut it out of the routine? Im thinking of offering milk in her cup if she gets fussy, let me know what helped with your babies!

How did you get your baby to start drinking from a cup? She does it on her own? I have some cups for my 12 month old, but she just pours it out lol! I know that’s part of them learning how to drink by themselves, but what can I do to help her?

She still requires help from us but we also set her hands on it and monitor how she tips it to her mouth! We have the little montessori rubber cups so it’s not too big and perfect for their hands. I think just using it each meal and sometimes bringing it to their mouth sometimes helps, we started since 6 months, not perfect at all but it does take a lot of getting used to!

I tried a bunch of cups until I found one she liked and drank from and then stopped giving her bottle once I knew she would drink the milk out of it. I do give 7-8 oz whole milk with breakfast and another one either with lunch or dinner . We use a weighted straw cup from sr browns or a cheap dollar tree straw cup

Is that 7-8 oz milk each meal or just 2 of the 3 meals? I’ll try offering more milk in her cup, that may help decrease the need for bottle, ty!

I am thinking she means 2 of the 3 meals
