Due to have my baby in a few weeks time at the city hospital, midwife today said my birthing partner is aloud to sleep on the 1st night I’m having a planned c-section so I was just wondering if my husband would still be aloud to sleep.

My midwife knows I’m having a planned section and still says he will be able to sleep , just wanting to hear from others if possible x

He should be able to, I had my little boy at the city hospital, but via emergency c section. We were in from Monday when I got induced to Thursday and he was able to stay the whole time x

Should be! However I was in over Xmas so not sure if rules have changed. I was allowed my birthing partner from Monday until I was discharged the Friday

I had an emergency C-section & my partner was able to stay for the full 3 nights x

I didn't have a c section but was in City for 7 days in total (from 28/02/25) and my husband was allowed to stay for the whole time I was in; before and after birth. He was just given a big reclining chair to sleep on and they gave him a pillow and a blanket. X
