I was pushing and pushing and felt something come out, thought did my baby just come out that quick damn? I then smelt something foul and looked at everyone’s faces and I did indeed shit myself

My 2nd child i shit my pants . My contractions were so intense that I couldn't control it. I had an adult.diaper on trying to get in the car to go to the hospital and it just came out..3 contractions later baby came out too.

I did with my second, I heard a midwife say I’m just going to take that down the hall, I turned to my boyfriend and student midwife and was like did I just poo?! Both lied and said noo, I knew I had, he later confessed lol

With my first, after delivery they said about the placenta, asked if I wanted to push or have the injection, said well I’ve just done all this pushing, what’s one more thing, first push, I farted 😂 I found it funny but also mortifying at the same time

I pooped with my 1st. I pushed for 4 hrs, hella hard. Haha. I literally didn't care. So much was happening. The nurses said I did but I knew I did and I asked my best friend and she just laughed and i was like "I pooped...I know i did. Just say yes or no." And she was like "nah, you def did poop" ahaha

No idea with my first two and my husband didn’t know either as the nursed where so discreet but I smelt something gross with my second so I’m sure I did but with my 3rd there was NO hiding it. I had a water birth and well there’s nothing more humbling than floating in a mini pool full of your own broken up shit 🥲

I pooped with both. It's not a big deal - no one cares! If anything it shows you're pushing correctly!

Omg girl I took a big ole shit before giving birth 😭😂😂😂 I was rushed for emergency c-section cause my water broke and baby had diarrhea and I wasnt dilating. All I know is they ran in and said “I don’t know she was in the restroom for like 20 minutes” yeah girl my stomach hurt! 😭😂

omg that’s horrible! I’m sorry you were treated like trash. We’re vulnerable, pregnant, and terrified- those contractions hurt! You had every right to be emotional. ☹️

Bound to happen when you’re pushing like that. Luckily I never pooped on either of my kids but I think that’s because I emptied myself earlier on both days

i did while i was pushing. it was just a tiny bit, i immediately noticed but pretended like i didn’t lol and the nurse grabbed it in like 2 seconds. nothing to be embarrassed about!

I was given IV medication im allergic to so I pooped for the full 4 hours u pushed for😂

Water birth and gave birth to a little nugget before my baby girl 😂

Water birth was completely out of it on gas and air and apparently I picked up my poo nugget and was like ooo what’s that in water picked it up and then when other half told me was poo I then threw it to the side of me back in the pool 🤦🏼♀️😂😂 I was mortified when he told me after I gave birth and was back ‘with it’ 😂😂 xx

Oh I definitely did lol I was induced so my body didn't prepare the way it would have if I went into labor naturally. Pretty sure it was more than once but God bless those nurses who never missed a beat and never let on.
My daughter pooped all over me the second she was born too so that was fun cleanup 😂

As far as I know no ahahah but I had epidural so I didn’t really feel anything

I've had 3 and surprisingly haven't pooped with any of them 😅

With my first I know I did but it wasn’t super embarrassing cause honestly I knew it happened but the nurses were so great about it and I honestly didn’t even think about it.
With my second though I remember looking over to my husband and crying that I was so ready to be done with it all basically all because I was so embarrassed that I basically pooed every contraction for probably the last hour of labor. That labor I knew it was happening and it was all I could think about.

What have I heard. Everyone does it. Some nurses just don’t tell you lol

With my second I was screaming and then started crying cause i thought i pooped my partner and midwife said I didn’t… it’s all I kept screaming “have I pooed” yeah after my partner said him and the midwife looked at each other and said no but I did loads 😭😭😭🤣

I did! But midwife wiped it up so quickly and discreetly and I didn’t even care if my other half smelt it cos he deserved something bad too 😂 jk but I was too busy pushing baby out to even care I defo wasn’t embarrassed and nobody should be

I did it, and I casually asked is that the baby 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Once I gave birth and was stood in the shower I felt the rush of shame as I remembered!

I did a big poo during my first labour. No one cared, they just cleaned it off and it was forgotten. Maybe not forgotten by our noses for a bit longer. 😂 The other awkward one was all the farts after my emergency C-section. Midwife told me I will be very gassy and to just let it out. I felt very conscious laying at the Ward and just trumping away.

With my second I was quite constipated and hadn’t been for about 3 days before I went into labour - it got to the point where they were saying the poo was in the way(?! 🤷🏻♀️😂) so I had to have an enema and wait 10 minutes before trying to go 🙈 But my contractions were so painful I couldn’t change position or get to a toilet so I literally had to squat over a bowl to poo on the bed 😫😫😫

It’s cute that people say they didn’t shit themselves. I was told I didn’t…. But then I spoke to another midwife on another occasion and she said they they always tell the ladies they never pooped because they don’t want them to be embarrassed etc. but equally they don’t care at all

Definitely pooped with both births. Second time I saw it and smelt it 😩 no one said anything but the midwives were VERY keen for me to have a shower just 1 hour after I’d given birth 🤣 don’t worry they see it all the time

It happens more than you know mama! Don’t feel embarrassed. Midwives have seen it ALL.

I was completely naked on all 4s with my ass in the air as I faced the wall/ back of hospital bed. I was pushing at 10 cm and hard little nuggets were falling from my ass. I could hear the thumps from a nurse catching them in some kind of bucket. My husband was laughing as I yelled at him to stop looking. He made the doctor laugh when he called my poops “cute.” I’m traumatized thinking about him having a solid view of me shitting in the air.

My husband said he will never tell me. I don’t think I did tho. 😩😬

They starved me when my water broke so this wouldn’t happen 😭 I was starving though 🤣

With my first I started pushing and felt it coming and literally screamed “POOP!” as it happened because I didn’t know what else to do 😂 but the nurses were poop ninjas and cleaned it up so fast. We still laugh about it now. I had a water birth with the second and luckily only had a little gas when I started pushing.

everyone said I didn’t, and I was watching through the mirror half the time so either I did but it was taken care of too fast for anyone to notice (me or husband lol) or I really didn’t! I had an epidural tho so that helped me not be able to tell… but yeah, out of everything that happened I think poop is the least of the worries :,)

One of my best friends is a midwife and she said that 99% of births a woman will poop. They actually sometimes hope to see poo because it shows them you are pushing correctly! They are so quick at cleaning it up most don't even know they have done it! Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about.

I was saying I am struggling to push because I feel like my poo is in the way but it wasn't coming out in the toilet and if I continue I may poop but I feel constipated. She kept saying girl just poop if you need to - she literally encouraged me to poo and just focus on baby. Smelt it, she scooped it up swiftly. Didn't even think to watch where she took it or what she did afterwards lol

I was having a contraction when I was stood up and walking around, it fell onto the floor 😭 gave my partner a death stare and asked him to get something to move it with and a nurse stepped in it 🤣
It was only small but it still happened.

this is the best comment ever. Thank you! You had me in fits.

Pooped during my Labour, and the poor midwives had to wipe it. I was so embarrassed but same time, was in so much pain to even clean myself.
And then after delivery, I was bedridden due to catheter and other stuff inside my vagina, so I had no control of my bowels, and I just felt my poop coming out on the hospital bedsheets (ughhhhhh) and the smell was awful, and I had to ask the midwives to bathe me (a whole body wipe only since I couldn’t shower yet).
Ahh the worst and most embarrassing experience but they made me feel so comfortable, bless them.

I did with both of mine. Was pretty mortified but the midwives didn't seem to care x
