Does your toddler eat paper?

Hey everybody. My toddler is 2 yrs and 2 months (26 months). Almost every time we leave her alone with books, she ends up eating pieces of them. Specially, those that are from hard material, such as cardboard. What do you do/ have you done about it? Does this happen to you??
