Bed Time

My little girl is now 3.5 years old We've just had a little boy who is now 9 weeks old. A few weeks ago we found bedtimes with her quite dramatic, alot of screaming etc refusing to go to bed. It settled for a little while and now it's come back again She's says she's not a baby and doesn't want to go to bed. However we found that she's overtired from being very active busy child at nursery and at home. I'm interested to know what routines for bedtime you have? We currently 6:30 bath Books/singing 7:30/8pm bedtime

I have a 3.5 year old and a 4 month old. I don't tend to do bath before bed as routine as I find it easier to give her a bath in a morning whilst I shower, at 7-7.30pm we go up to bed brush teeth have a wee, let her chose some teddies to sleep with and put her night light on and I lay with her for 10-15 minutes until she drifts off. Sometimes, she likes to listen to a lullaby, but if she's really tired, she's not bothered and will be asleep within 5 minutes. My partner also takes the baby up to bed around 7-7.30 so they're both usually asleep and in bed around the same time

We have our evening meal between 5 and 5:30, bath for 6, reading by half 6 and in bed by 7 (try to stick to a 12 hour day, 12 hour night) because he gets over tired otherwise and we start seeing behaviours and he 9/10 ends up having a tantrum. But like you say because theyre so busy all day theyre exhausted. But he does love laying and listening to a story on his tonie box to go to sleep. But to be honest, in the early days of my 2nd being born (he is now nearly 11 months), bed time was a bit chaotic because obviously they dont have a set routine yet like the eldest does. But now they go to bed at the same time pretty much and its bliss, I dont get any of the comments about why he has to go bed and his brother wasn't etc. It does get better I promise x
