Wee on mattress

My son has just stripped off and got wee on his mattress. I can’t do in depth cleaning now as he needs to go back to bed. What can I do quickly? How do I clean it in the morning or is it ruined?

Not ruined and will be okay! Do you have anything waterproof (even a bin bag or something could work) you can put down and then put a towel/sheet on top of it? Alt get a blowup bed out and use that. When my toddlee weed on the mattress I googled it and cleaned it with white vinegar and left the mattress in the garden to dry all day, there was no smell at all, I didn't even follow the instructions properly, just whacked on a bunch of vinegar and water. Cleaned fine, first night was still wet but it dried eventually. I keep meaning to buy waterproof sheets/bottom sheet but I still haven't yet. I was so stressed but it will be fine it will all be okay once he gets to sleep then you can figure the mattress out tomorrow

I would buy mattress protector and you get the sheets to put underneath. If you’re ever worried, just put bedsheets and put two/towel and check the wetness of the bed. Buy Kilrock carpet and upholstery cleaner - it’s amazing. I use this for everything especially accidents on rug. I buy a couple of bottles, keep it upstairs and downstairs. I use this spray and there’s another one, every week.

You can get sprays for animal wee that has enzyme that breaks it down. But moving forward def buy mattress protector as wont be the last bodily fluid on bed (think vomiting bugs etc)
