Transition to cows milk

When did you all transition to cows milk? My daughter is 11 months next week so not sure when to start? Did you go straight from formula to cows milk or did you wean them on to it?

The advice is after 12 months I introduced it in food at 6pm the then slowly a bottle here n there after 12 months and gradually fully swapped over within a few weeks

So I introduced it in food after 6 months and before 12 months. I mixed it in with formula in porridge or weetabix, stuff like that. As for transitioning to cows milk from formula, I did it at 11 5 months because we were going in holiday a week before 1 and didnt want to be carrying all the formula. I transitioned by doing 1oz cows milk 5oz formula for a couple of days and then upped the cows milk oz and dropped the formula oz over time so that by the time we went, kiddo was on full fat cows milk x

I saw the health visitor for my little girls 1 year review today and she told me I can transition her anytime now. She’s 11.5 months. Said to just offer her full fat cows milk to see if she likes it why I still have formula left. If she won’t drink it mix half and half with formula and each day up the cows milk by an ounce. But if she does like it you can just go cold turkey and swap her fully straight away. I’m going to try this week as I have about a weeks worth of formula left. Apparently they can have it hot or cold too whatever they prefer. Hope this helps ❤️

So My son is 11 months now. I started giving him food at six months, but I started introducing him to organic a whole milk a few weeks ago. What I do is I mix the organic whole milk with his baby formula so he can start getting used to it and then once she turns 12 months he would be used to the taste and he can just go straight to drinking it. For example if he’s drinking 8oz bottle 4oz Similac formula and the other 4oz organic whole milk. start off with small portions to see how your baby does with the milk and then you can increase it later on.
