Am I pregnant?

Looking for advice. Trying to conceive and my period is 3 days late, I’m usually regular each month. We had an early miscarriage last month so not sure if that affects anything but I’ve taken a test yesterday which was negative but then I’m still waiting to come on. Has anyone had a negative test but been pregnant? How long should I wait to test again?
