My son was circumcised today dose anyone have any tips to help keep the area clean and to reduce pain. We have all girls in my family so no one really knows what to do. How long will it take to heal? If the bandage gets dirty or wet do i change it or just let it be

They should have given you aftercare instructions. Our pediatricians office sent us home with gauze sheets and Vaseline packets. We were instructed to change the gauze and apply Vaseline at every diaper change.
Heavy amount/glob Vaseline on it at all times for 10 days

Call in the morning and ask for aftercare instructions. I’m shocked they didn’t give you any. For now the usual protocol is using Vaseline or something similar to “lube” the front of the diaper. Change the dressing with every diaper change. Use the Vaseline with it. Don’t scrub the incision but it can be cleaned with soap and water if needed. Avoid full baths for now. You can sponge him clean. And don’t use diaper wipes on the incision. It’ll irritate it.
