Meal time

Hey mamas. My 9 month old loves to eat! But she’s recently started trying to climb out of her high chair mid meal. I know she’s supposed to be strapped in but we never have and she screams and won’t eat if we do. She’s just started this in the past week and we can’t make it a full meal without her trying to climb out. I tried doing a similar tactic to when the bite while nursing (telling her no, taking her out and stopping the meal, then trying again) but it’s had zero affect on her. Anyone go through something similar or have any advice?
