I do think you need to know the precautions though for sure, to know how to sleep with baby. It's always best to keep their face up closer to your face when sleeping. Make sure the blanket can't get pulled up over their head or that no one can roll over on baby. Things like that. Don't sleep with them if you are extremely tired either. I did get much better sleep this though and so did baby when I did bedshare.
I received a LOT of information from the NHS on safe cosleeping methods. I think they do a great job. (UK)

wouldn’t care if it’s not advised. i love doing it and i’d never go back. that’s also because i’m a pretty light sleeper and i’m confident nothing would happen
