My little one is terrible for this, we leave her until she's actually upset which doesn't happen all that often, she mostly will go back to sleep eventually when she's finished thrashing around
My son does this also. I used to pick him up immediately at first but then I just rock his next to me a little and shh. If he's still properly asleep then he will just relax and carry on sleeping but if he was getting ready for a feed then he'll wake up properly despite me trying to get him back to sleep. Also found it can be when he's a bit windy so I try to do the little massages/leg stretches at each nappy change and that has seemed to help him get any wind out easier so isn't thrashing around as much. We call him our little dinosaur as they're so noisy 🙈 x
Same here 😉 It's their soothing mechanism. If you use a dummy, try to give them a dummy and they may go back to sleep (that usually happens with my LO). But I always leave him until he fully wakes up 😊
@Sonia he’s combining his leg slamming with chewing his hands so the dummy gets spat to the corner of the crib 😂😂😂
My son does this a lot, fully brings his legs in the air then whacks his legs down 🙈 i usually think its because of constipation/trying to poop. Sometimes he’s done it though and immediately fallen asleep so could be a soothing thing? Usually if he’s doing it i hold his hand, stroke his face, rub his belly or bike legs in his next2me and see if it helps settle him. If not usually we get him up for a change & feed.
