We have this problem. sometimes i don’t give my little boy milk in the morning on a childminder day, i’ll just give him porridge before we set off. I then pack a bottle of milk in his bag and the childminder gives it to him once he is there with her at 9 ish
Mine won’t ever eat breakfast if I have given her milk before because she’s always full from the milk 🙂
My son gets up at half 6, we have milk and I drop him to nursery for about 8 - we don’t bother with breakfast as he would normally eat at home around 8 so he just eats his in the nursery Does he eat in nursery so could wait on those days?
@Louise yeah I think that’s the problem I’m trying to get him to eat earlier than he normally does, normally wakes about 7, has bottle and then doesn’t eat until about an hour after. Yeah he does so might just skip it if he’s not interested, just worry he’ll get hungry before nursery give him anything I guess. X
Do you have to give him breakfast before nursery? My daughter has to be at nursery for 7:30am. She gets out of bed at 6:30am every day anyway so we give her her water bottle and a little pre-nursery snack (typically an organix biscuit/biscuit bar) and then she has her cereal/toast at nursery. She hasn’t had milk since about 13 months but when she did, we’d just give her her bottle then sent her straight to nursery for breakfast however now do the biscuit bar in absence of the milk. Breakfast in our house can take a long time some days so I can’t imagine trying to fit that in of a morning before nursery drop off and trying to get to work on time 🤣
Jam on toast, my little one loves this. scrambled egg, can do it in the microwave couple of mins, crumpets
