It will regulate but if its causing you some pain it may be worth expressing a little bit when she would normally have the feed just for comfort but not loads if that makes any sense

I use the pump on one side whilst baby drinks from the other. It allows my partner to give her a feed in the evening when he’s home from work

It’ll regulate. Don’t pump it’ll trigger more milk production just hand express enough to give you some relief x

I *think* I’ve just fixed this problem for myself. My baby has just started going down around 8pm and then not waking up until 5am/6am. I put her down with her last feed at 7:30/8pm, then pump both breasts around 9/9:30pm before I go to bed around 10pm. Then, when baby wakes up, I’ll use a hakaa on one breast while the baby feeds on the other. If I wake up feeling full earlier and baby is still asleep, I’ll use the hakaa to relieve some pressure without draining completely. I used to pump the other breast while baby fed in the mornings, but baby wanted both full boobs after her sleep and got noticeably fussy if I fed her on the empty one, but the hakaa does enough to relieve pressure, give me a bit of milk for a bottle and not empty myself completely

Avoid pumping if you can, just drop the feed and after a week or so your body will re-adjust. I pumped and ended up with an over supply, where as when I started dropping the feeds my boobs chilled out more!

It takes like 5 days given or take to regulate

Thank you all!
