Fussy at night

My baby is 6 months old. When she cries at night and won’t settle after more than 15 min, or wakes and cries after transferring to her crib again, I resort to giving her the boob to calm her even though she had it 4 hours ago. I fear I’m creating a bad habit, but also don’t want to stay awake all night trying to calm her. Any other moms experiencing the same thing? 😅

my baby is almost 7 months old. i’m still cosleeping & BF whenever he wants throughout the night. I wouldn’t say a bad habit, it might be hard to break out of, but unless you really do not want to BF in the middle of the night then that’s up to you! You could try a bigger bottle before bed time. like 6/7oz for a “knockout” bottle, or just more than what they usually drink!

My daughter was fussing around couple weeks ago too (7 months old tomorrow) and honestly I just started to let her sleep with us and she stopped… and now she’s back in her co sleeper next to our bed 🤷‍♀️ I think she was just uncomfortable from teething. She’s also staying up later now (sleeping less hours at night) and taking longer naps during the day.

My son wakes once a night and I breastfeed him and then he goes back to sleep. I don’t think it’s a bad habit. I did it with my 2yr too and she sleeps good in her bed now. They are just growing babies and need a little extra boost at night

Yes!! My son wakes up multiple times throughout the night just to suckle himself back to sleep. I do think it has become a habit, but I don’t think it’s a bad one. My baby has been more fussy as he is teething, so I’m just trying to keep him comfortable and get me as many seconds of sleep as possible lol. Definitely challenging, but I’m hopeful this is just a season. 💕💕 You’re not alone!
