Honestly it's so hard to know what to eat !! Then I ended up putting on weight because I'm eating junk. Because anything remotely healthy, says on be careful eating this or that. I had bought a Han Tesco meal deal for dinner tonight. But I'm hearing so many mixed reviews that I've said my partner can eat it 😂😂 il just eat a ready meal, at least that can be nuked to death.
I think when there's things not to eat pregnant most of them just carry the same risks when you're not pregnant so just go for it im still eating my rare steak and sushi
@Jaz thankyou Jasmine ! It's really hard to know isn't it ! X
I also love a chicken salad sandwich! I think it’s because of the lettuce in them, last year loads of pre-made sandwiches got re called for that, they also have more of a risk for botulism, albeit probably small, but ive still eaten it on occasion if there’s nothing else! Maybe go more for the ones with no lettuce in, and make sure it’s in date, in the fridge, and the packaging isn’t tampered with or swollen! You have to eat!
The risks are worse with us because it’ll effect baby more than it’ll effect us, but they’re still small. If you can eat something else then do but otherwise you don’t want to starve yourself!
In my first trimester I’d make a couple of sandwiches and put them in the fridge so if I was too tired I could just grab one! That could be something to do? Or make a few servings of pasta in Tupperware etc?
I'm with you there! Mostly struggling with the motivation to make lunches 😂 I've been eating Tesco meal deals.. I suppose everything can be a risk when you dig deep.. ive just been checking the dates and keeping it in the fridge.. I do avoid the tuna/prawn ones and the ham (mostly because I don't like it anyway). I've been craving the chicken salad sandwiches and having them most days lol! I also keep some emergency pot noodles at work though 😂
