Runners

How long were you able to keep running for? I know I will need see how energy/balance change as we grow - however I no longer fit in my normal running bras but I don’t know if it’s going to be worth investing as although I know it’s possible I never really see anyone running whilst visibly pregnant…

I stopped around 24 weeks thanks to pelvic and hip pain. I bought one larger bra and it still fit at that point. My thinking was that I'll be able to use it when I start trying to run again postpartum. My goal is to get to a few cross country fixtures next year. I it all really depends on your body. Some people stop early, and then there's the woman who ran London 7 months pregnant on Sunday.

I was lucky and felt up to running until 39 weeks but reduced distance and speed as my pregnancy went on. I was pretty shattered after going out during the 3rd trimester tho!

@Holly same. I did until week 40. It just didn’t hurt my body, so I was lucky. And obviously I reduced both speed and distance too. But whether you get any hip etc pain is probably the most important part to decide whether or not to continue. I have a friend who stopped too late with some groin pain and she never was able to start running after her baby was born (now 3 years)

Thank you @Hayley @Holly @Moon it’s really helpful to hear others experience and know it might be possible to continue if my body allows. I really hope I can 🤞🤞🤞

Continued running until 8months, and I did a 5k race at 7.5 months. By 8 months I just felt too heavy so it was only walking from then!
