Help

Is there a medication that you can give to a baby (7 months ) to help with calmness and reduce hyperactivity/helping them with sleep?

Seems drastic to give medication to such a little baby to calm them. You can try herbal tea like lemon balm, although its advised to only give water to babies this age, so maybe consult with gp. I would try doing quiet and calming activities in the last wake window.

I wouldn’t give a 7 month baby anything like that if it’s available out there I’d have down time every few hours instead and see if it helps xx

i dont mean medication per se, just mild supplements or herbal remedies that are ok n safe for babies

Are they hyper or are they just not moving enough in the day? Have you tried engaging their mind and body enough for the day so that they are actually tired come night time? I know my little girl gets a mad zoomy half hour before bed if she’s had a lot of time in the pram that day instead of on the floor rolling around and trying to learn new things

The only reasonable thing i know is magnesium serum you can rub on baby’s foot. However, anything more invasive won’t be recommended as you don’t want to shut them down artificially in case they need you. I wish there was a good solution for the hyperactivity though as I struggle with the same thing 🥲

Using a lavender soak in their bath?
