Ear piercing on boys

I personally think piercings shouldn’t be until the child voices they want them and understand the pain and care that goes along with it. After all it is their body.

I think it would be so cute!!! My friend who has a boy was just talking to me about this yesterday bc she wants to pierce her sons ears, nothing wrong w it

Hubby has his ears pierced but he did it as a a teenager. I’ll allow him if that’s what he wants as a teen I won’t do it for him now because it’s what I want. I don’t care about him being mistaken for a girl otherwise I wouldn’t have tied his hair up for 2yrs 😂 but yeah the piercing he can choose himself when he’s of age

Lol i got my sons ears pierced at 6 months. And my daughters at 3 months😭

I was forced to get my ears pierced as a child a SMALL child they were crooked they were cute when I became a teen but I wouldn’t pierce my sons ears because it is simply his body and not mine to make those kinds of decisions for him. I’m not against other people doing it but I personally wouldn’t make my son do it if he doesn’t want to 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Kellie literally about the hair, my sons hair was almost down to his butt but cut it because that’s what his dad wanted ☹️ (my son absolutely loved his hair) even at this shoulder length people still call him a girl and it makes me so upset 😥

Nooooo. My husband has an ear pierced but i feel like my son should come to me and ask for it instead of me just doing it to him. At the end of the day he is his own person and he will be able to voice his own desires for himself instead of me doing what i want for him for the sake of him being a cute chunker right now that i can dress up and whatnot

@Kellie that’s what I was thinking. I got my daughter’s ear pierced when she was 6mths but for some reason ppl thought she looked like a boy?? So I thought it might be the same for my son 🥲

@Janel yea I think I’ll just wait till he wants it. Most girls like ear piercings but idk if boys feel the same way when they’re older 🤷‍♀️

I’m not piercing my kids ears, boy or girl until they are old enough to understand or consent. I didn’t get my ears pierced until I was old enough to decide for myself & Im really glad I did cuz I remember the whole experience as it a core childhood memory. I think clip ins can do jus fine. I also did that with my nose as well. I started wearing faux nose rings when I was like 12 for fun bt my parents didn’t actually get let me get it pierced until I got older

I think its adorable regardless of gender! My 12 month old girl has her done :)

If I have a girl I will be waiting till she asks to have them pierced and as for my boy just no lol

I personally think if he wants his ears pierced in the future, he should decide

Yeah I wouldn’t mind my son having a ear piercing but he has to be able to tell me he wants it first before I do it
