Unsettling baby at night

Hi girls let's see if someone can help me o reassure me. For around a week and a half my LO has been very unsettled at night. She's sleep but moves a lot and when I say a lot I mean a lot. She makes lots of noises, so much so she wakes us up. She moves arms and legs, she lifts her legs and kicks the mattress, while her eyes are completely closed. If we pick her up and put her on top of us lying on bed after a short while she falls asleep with no issues (no noises or movements) is this normal??? During day naps (from 20mins to 2h) she's completely fine, not moving or making noises until she awakes when she's moving super crazy (hands and legs) as she was in distress. Is all of this normal? Does she have a problem??? I feel very worried about her.

Would you say the noises sound like squeaks/straining? We are having the same issue at the moment and I think it’s reflux. The GP has just put us on baby Gaviscon to see if that helps

Could be active sleep, it's a completely normal part of the development. My boy does the same some nights, especially around growth spurts.

Very normal! Babies are super loud and the leg kicking is normal too!

My little girl has done this since birth till now 15 months old. Never found the answer but maybe is linked to reflux, cause she has reflux

@Lauren she's taking gaviscon since a month ago but she started to be like that (so loud and moving) since last week.

@Yana does it last a lot? She can be like that for quite a long time several times per night. Since last week she has been like that every single day. 😢

@Laia it varies per night and how tired he is, but anything from 2 mins to around 20 mins sometimes. And it happens multiple times per night. But not every single night.

@Yana thanks for the info. I feel much better tbh. I'm FTM living abroad and no family or friends nearby to ask.... So feeling quite alone and scared sometimes. Thanks! ♥️
