@Sophie that makes me feel so much better thank you! I feel so drained from it. Did you fined the transition to formula hard with preparing it etc? For night feeds we just use milk from the fridge but I think you need to prep formula at the same time you need it
I’m doing the exact same thing too - have tried to reduce the amount I pump so skipping one of the night pumps and a few in the day and also reduce the time I pump for by a few minutes here and there to help my boobs get used to it. I’m now down to pumping 4/5 times a day from 8 and plan to carry on reducing slowly
@Lauren get the Tommy tippee perfect prep machine, it’s a godsend, way quicker than heating up breast milk. I started with formula only through the night simply because the prep was so quick. So worth the money as you can use it until they stop drinking milk.
@Steph I really want to reduce but it’s like my body is trying to make me feel guilty! I skipped one pump earlier so I could have a wine in the sun and my boobs are killing 😂
@Sophie I’ve heard mixed reviews on the perfect prep but I’ll deffo have a look into it thank you!!
Really?! What have you heard? It’s honestly so quick and handy, everyone I know loves it
Skipping pumps is initially so hard, it hurts so much and seems impossible cause you just have double the milk next pump time but I promise it does eventually work
I also did this at 12 weeks and found it so liberating. The pumping was killing me, it took a few weeks to get my supply down, and was a bit painful, but now it’s almost gone and baby is just as happy and chubby! If it feels like the right thing to do for you then go for it.
