Kit days
I’m on UPS1 and have completed some KIT days however I’m only getting paid £99.87 for them. I’ve worked it out to be £234.08 per day. Am I wrong?

If you’re doing kit days whilst in receipt of statutory maternity pay, I believe that can impact your take home pay for the kit day.
I’m on MPS 6 and when I initially arranged my kit days they told me it would be my salary divided by 365. I told them that wasn’t worth going in for and pointed out I’m only contracted 195 days and they agreed so I now get around £220 before tax/pension etc. Maybe it depends on the school but it could be worth asking. I’m also in receipt of smp.
@Lauren I thinking I’m going to email union as our academies policy doesn’t match with what I’ve been paid (councils policy) Instead of £234 a day I have received £99

I feel this is right… I looked into doing KIT days but they are marginally less than your daily rate. I can’t remember the rule. But it is calculated on a lower scale than your daily rate.
