If leaking badly, could it be that you are producing more than you little one needs? Normally your supply should adjust to his needs but if it is taking time, why not express a few times a day, that might avoid engorgement/leaks? You can perhaps bag and freeze that milk, it can be in freezer 4-6 months and be fed to LO once you are weaning off breastfeeding altogether?
You could always reach out to your local NCT breast feeding team for advice xx
I use the lansinoh disposable breast pads and pump during the night if not I drench through the pads, my bra, shirt and mattress. Sometimes my letdown is so strong it just squirts directly out my nipple like a water gun without me applying any pressure lol
Omg @Lauren same 🫣 particularly the last part
I use the lansinoh reusable breast pads and pump if I start to leak. Just 15 minutes stops it.
Depends on the day for me and how long since my little boy has fed but sometimes I leak through quite badly. (I'm 9wks pp) I use reusable breast pads but do find these tend to leak more than the disposable ones (was gifted some after the birth) I was away the other weekend and he slept really well and I ended up leaking whilst out. I hadn't noticed until he woke up for a feed and my opposite boob was leaking quite bad. I will say no one seemed to notice and I didn't care as my little boy was fed and content. Just something we might have to get used to. I'm expecting it to happen more as I'm trying to introduce some formula ready for when I go back to work x
