Contact napping

Any advice…. My baby won’t sleep in the day time unless being held. If we go out in the pram for a walk he will sleep but as soon as we get home he wakes, he’ll sleep in the car but I don’t want to have to go out every time to get him to sleep. He sleeps in his next to me crib absolutely fine at night but day time he won’t have any of it. Every time I’ve got him into a deep sleep and try and transfer him to the crib or Moses basket he wakes instantly

No advice, just solidarity! Mine boy (10w) is exactly like this. Today i managed to put him in his love to dream and he slept in the cot for like 45 mins. But this happens once in a blue moon..

Exact same here. He only sleeps during the day in the sling but sleeps well in his next to me overnight. I haven’t tried to change it to be honest…

Another comment of solidarity, I did another post earlier basically saying the same exact thing except my son won’t sleep in the car, sling or pram 😭😭 Had a full breakdown earlier, more so because he’s just SO unhappy all the time and I feel like I’m missing play time etc cause we just spend all our time crying or contact napping. Nothing else

Exactly the same with my 12 week old. Sleeps great at night in his next to me.. loves the car and pushchair for naps but would rather sleep on me in the day.

Thanks guys! This makes me feel better! Thought I was doing something wrong

Exactly the same boat although I will add that I had a couple of successful days putting her down during the day when she was tired rather than when she was in deep sleep. I had shut all the blinds and put the white noise machine on like I do at nighttime. She cried for 5-10min and then self soothed herself to sleep. Having said that, as soon as she has a day or two out of routine because we are out and about, I'm back to square one again where I'm having to take her out in the pushchair/car or feed her to sleep
