Is a gift basket with homemade goods a good or bad gift for mothers day?

I'm a super crafty person. Always have been. So I've been debating what to gift my mother for mothers day. I think I've settled on a big basket with sugar scrubs, lip balm, and candles, all homemade. Throw in a couple other things like some flowers or a favorite candy, and I feel like its a great gift. I'd love to get something like that. And my mother typically loves homemade gifts. Is that something you'd love to get? Any ideas on what else to throw in there?

Yes 💯 you can send me one too!! Lol

I love it, so thoughtful

Had I thought about it more, I would've started putting them together sooner so I could send them to people! Missed opportunity there!

Hey Jenna, just wanted to say was reading the post when I accidentally voted for ‘tacky’ which I absolutely do not think it is! Assuming I’m the only vote for that so don’t worry - no one thinks that.

Yes♥️ although I have never done anything for anyone. I don’t really see anyone. It’s mainly just me, myself and I so it’s nice that someone is doing something nice!

I think I've also decided to make her some shower steamers. She gets allergies really badly, so I think they would be helpful for her ❤️ anybody have any other ideas?

I think it’s a great idea, especially if you know your mom likes home made gifts. I usually bake my mom her favorite cookies, get her a card, and take her to the movies. This year is my first Mother’s Day so she’ll still get a card and her favorite cookies. I’ll also take my son to see her and my hubby & I talked about doing his feet/hand prints for our moms as an additional gift.

I would love a gift like that. My mother on the other hand would not. Just depends on the person.

Homemade Peanut 🥜 Butter So easy to make actually and taste so much better! Just 16oz/1lb of shelled Dry Roasted no salt added peanuts placed in a food processor and pulse until it turns into peanut butter and yes it will eventually turn in to peanut butter just like that. Then add 1 tsp of salt (if the no salt added peanuts) and 1 TBSP of Honey 🍯! My food processor gets hot and over heats so I do take a break and then come back to it after it cools down. Pulse to your desired consistency and texture. Add salt and honey to your liking but those measurements above are perfect for me! Makes 2 jars 🫙 8oz each! Great for you & a gift! 🎁 You can play around with the different flavors of honey 🍯 too. It makes a difference in the taste!

Very thoughtful :)

Love it! I thought mothers day was about showing appreciation with breakfast in bed (or adult equivalent) / kids drawing or something handmade. Yet another thing that's been blown out of proportion.
