We got a changing table that converts to a normal chest of drawers. It’s downstairs in my dining room actually a d I always use it for both of my boys. It’s up to you really
Decent and a life saver for a while if you have a c section, good for dressing after baths too But you'll just end up changing them on the couch or floor within a few weeks 😅
My house is one story so it works for me. I wouldnt get a changing table specifically
I never used mine other than to store stuff on it lol. I used the floor or bed/couch mostly
Don't rush to get one I did and never use it! My basket floats around down stairs and I have extra bits in my room ready for changes in the night x
you don’t need a changing table but i had one and it felt much better on my back. my situation was that i used a changing table for the first 6 months of my baby’s life. then we went to my in-laws for 2 weeks and we just used the floor. hunching over to change him caused me to feel it more in my back. i was on the ground already so i felt like i just stayed there more often in a bad position. but either way, you’ll be fine and it will work. honestly, the only thing you need is a safe place for him to sleep and with amazon (at least in the US) you have access to everything in 24 hours so if you start without one and decide you want one, you can get a decent one pretty quickly.
I use my changing table all the time but my master bedroom is on the ground floor and we have out babies dresser and everything in our room for now so we do use it a lot but I guess everyone is different.
I can honestly say it's the best item we have had since she was born. I bought two nappy caddies but ended up emptying and selling them because they didn't get touched even once. We just have a cheap IKEA one. But my husband and I are both tall so it's better for our backs, also in the early days when she would wake a lot in the nights looking back it was actually helpful to wake me up before a feed. I had a C-section and it also meant that I was still mobilising. I hate nothing more than changing her somewhere that isn't the changing table 😅
My change table is on top of a drawer set from Mocka and I love it
We were told we wouldn’t use ours. But we use it for every nappy change at home (and still do at 27 months old) even though it is in her bedroom, up two flights of stairs from the living room. It’s completely up to you if you use it or not, but ever found it useful.
We love ours and still use it daily - my daughter’s 13 months now. It came as a set from Tutti Bambini (cot, wardrobe + changing table)

They are life savers especially after birth
We like and use the additional storage in our change table - we also have a chest of drawers but both are handy
I got one that was build in on top of a set of drawers - thank god as I’ve never used the changing table but at least I’ve got a set of drawers out of it. I just always ended up used a changing mat and my bed or living room floor 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

We have a chest of drawers with a changing mat with raised edges on. I didn't see the point in getting a changing table that I won't need later on down the line, when the drawers can be repurposed. Plus we only use it at night, downstairs we have a changing caddy with a travel changing mat in and I just change her on the floor 😊
I didn't use one. I did have a caddy with the essentials.
We bought a beautiful changing table and didn’t use it at all with our 1st and 2nd babies! Where ever we were we just used a changing mat and had everything thing stored in a caddy. We had a caddy upstairs in our bedroom and one downstairs in the sitting room. They grow out of using a changing table so quickly, it is only safe whilst they can’t roll! So personally I’d buy a couple of nappy caddies. Now our youngest is 19months we have one caddy downstairs and one with essentials to keep on the car as well as a travel potty for our older one just in case!
We’ve got one of these changing tables with bath and storage. We keep it in baby’s bedroom. It’s great that you don’t have to bend over for nappy changes or baths x https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/baby/baby-essentials/bathing-changing-and-potty-training/baby-changing-mats-and-bags/babylo-bath-and-baby-changing-table-koala-green/p/240404?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADF0j8I3yEqZF25JSKa5SWShhRBWh&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_dbABhC5ARIsAAh2Z-Q3-3bdjoqLaMMBrDgR52D2kgBXeVo-PgpqT7iyAC8JvNxACGOAFRMaAkM4EALw_wcB
We had a chest of drawers that had a changing table/space on top in baby’s room. Everyone said we’d never use it but we used it loads! I did change them in the living room a lot but the one in their room was used every day, especially at night
You are not going to use it! Even with the best intentions you will use your diaper bag and or a basket that floats around the room you stay in the most with your baby. At first you will lay down a mat or blanket but eventually you will just change in the floor or on the couch. Its just a waste of money. Unless you just want the traditional look in the nursery.
