How do I nicely tell someone their breath stinks?

Pass him a gum. When I’m with someone that’s breathe stinks I casually give myself a gum, and pass them one. If deny I say, no take it you need it. They don’t say anything and give their hand out 😂

Tell him plain and straight that his breath stink 🤷🏽‍♀️ he’s ur friend right ? You’re just being honest and if he takes offense then ohh well at least u told him

Hey ladies! Thank you so much! I offered him gum after we ate. I ate some and then he had some too. It did NOT work. I can still smell it the same. Whenever we go to brunch today I’m going to just start off by saying how I need to schedule my next dentist appointment. And maybe then that’s perfect Segway into asking if he’s ever had any dental work done or when his last appointment was. And if he’s ever dealt with halitosis? Idk I feel like there’s a way to say it but he may take offense. I’ve never had to tell anyone their breath smells really bad. 😩I’ll let you know how it goes! It smells like moth balls. I googled what could be the cause and they said an infection of some type that hasn’t been treated. I almost don’t want to hang out with him again because of it. Am I being too shallow?
