Weaning

Have just given my little girl her first taste of food! (She’s 6.5 months - we waited a little longer as were abroad) we purreed a sweet potato and she seemed to really like it - no faces pulled and was reaching out for more (even giggled at one point) only did a couple of tiny spoonfuls and will revert to her milk now for the rest of the day. Have frozen the rest of it. I read to offer a new veg every day? I just wanted to gauge how every one else went about doing theirs in their first weeks? Thanks :)

We did each day different veggie. Froze what was left in ice cube trays, getting out 2 cubes at a time.

That’s a good idea! Thanks ☺️ May I ask how deep the ice cube tray is? My one here is quite deep so probably one would do! The other ones are in the shape of Australia 😂

Ooh great, thank you! 🙏 I had just given her a few goes at one of those small baby spoons to begin with but probably could give a bit more! I wasn’t sure how much or if there were even any guides on it! Which is why I thought would see what others were doing 😊

I think it depends on the baby. I give her 2 cubes and milk top up. God forbid she drinks water🤣.she's 7 m our LO, we started purees at 5.5 m, now she's on 3-4 meals (2 cubes each meal) per day. Depends what time she wakes up
