My baby wakes up screaming!

Help! can that be a sign of cmpa? Her poo is stinky too. She used to go every day now she can go up to two days without pooping. But she has a week waking up from her sleep crying like crazy. Nothing will calm her down. Only for naps. At night she sleeps 5-6hours. She is combo fed but mainly breastfed. I need to make her a drs apt. Im so worried. I think she is teething because she is drooling and eating her hands like crazy. Her bottom gums look white like i can see the two bottom teeth. At least i think so. But she is only 4 months. Or if it is her stomach😣

Teething can affect their poo too because of the extra saliva that they are ingesting, that is why most dieticians will advise not to do the milk ladder for a cmpa baby while they’re teething as the symptoms can be hard to tell apart. Teething would also explain the screaming in the night. If she’s 4m and you’re only just seeing the symptoms now I’d say it’s probably unlikely to be cmpa as usually you see the symptoms early on

@Jess oh ok wow. Well she’s had mucous in her poo since 2-3 months. And it smells really bad. I don’t see mucous anymore but it’s still really green and stinky.

Is she bf or bottle fed? If bf then you could try eliminate dairy from your diet to trial it and see if it improves. If not you could always speak to your gp but in my experience they’ll likely just brush it off if there’s not loads of other symptoms like rashes etc

Oh I’ve just reread your post and realised you said combi feeding

@Jess yeah she did brush it off because that’s the only symptom. Yes combo on a hypoallergenic formula. That she doesn’t like much. Prefers my milk but i don’t produce enough 😩 Gonna try eliminating dairy and see what happens. It’s so odd because some days she’s okay but some screaming murder a few times a day. Thanks for your input!

It’s so frustrating isn’t it😫 maybe keep a food diary so you can monitor if on the days she’s more fussy you’ve eaten something with more dairy in or something
