Horrendous sleep

My little girl turns 9 months this week. Her sleep is literally horrific. She’s waking hourly for the last week or so. I just don’t know what to do. She cries until we go to her. It’s soul destroying. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah😣

Strong relate

Yeah, separation anxiety is strong at this age, hard as it is don’t let them cry try and get to them as quick as you can to provide comfort, evidence shows that this will actually help them sleep through as they will feel safe and reassured that if they need you you will be there. Hang in there xx

We co sleep, no way I’m getting out of bed every hr, this way I can quickly feed her to give her dummy or something and she’s back to sleep.

@Medina we have had to start co sleeping too, it’s the only way he won’t scream every 30 mins

@Medina we co slept for about 3 weeks during this phase she's just starting to do longer stretches in her cot and I'm so glad I decided to bring her into the bed with me and not fight her every bedtime

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. She’s not long been in her own room and it’s definitely kick started some separation anxiety. I’ll stick with bedtime and a couple of settles in her room and bring her into my bed when I’ve had enough 🫣 I know it will get better. I just didn’t see us still being in this place at nearly 9m!!
