Been using this since my baby was 14 months. Now I put the seat on the adult toilet and the legs can be used like a handle so they don't put their hands on the seat. It's a great in the car potty. Perfect size. Fits in my mini diaper backpack. Great when there's zero toilets near by.
You should let your kid choose so they’re included in the process and they start understanding that soon they will be potty training. But if you don’t want to just get the cheap one that sits on the floor. No need to spend over $15 on it. Then once they’re good and potty training I would transition them to the ones where they can sit on the toilet.
