Am I being irrational…?

My sister bought a cute jumper for my daughter and was so excited for her to have it for the coming months. I decided to try it on and then ended up leaving it on her for the day. When I got home, I went to clean the house while my husband watched her. When I was finished cleaning, I came back and my daughter had smushed strawberry all over the outfit. I got upset because he did not think to use a bib or change her into an older outfit/sleeper. I told him that I was upset and his response was “so what, kids clothes get dirty, are you going to hover over her when she’s getting muddy outside?” My point is that it felt careless to feed her strawberries in an outfit that’s brand new, that my sister bought for her to wear this summer and I felt he took no accountability that he could have easily put a bib on her. He told me that I’m trying to start a fight and being irrational but I feel like I have a point… side note, my husband thinks my sister buys way too much many clothes for our baby and I felt like he did it on purpose..

Does he seem to have these type of accidents often when she’s wearing clothes your sister gave? If so I would also think it was on purpose… you can try soaking the stains with white vinegar- it takes out a lot of stuff

Awww I get you but also understand your husband too babes. Put the clothes in the washer and don’t get too worked up on the little things. Ps I try to tell myself the same thing. Husband don’t be worried about the same things we do lol but I’m sure it was such a cute moment of him figuring things out with the baby 💕 Gotta let dad be a parent. Yall are a team! You got this boo! 💕✨

Yes, you're overreacting. Sorry. Yes, it's supposed to be for summer, but you can't always stop kids from being messy. That's what they do. They will find a way even with a bib. Just wash it and wear again. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Did he know it was a new outfit for the summer? He may think your sister buys too many outfits but I doubt he would intentionally try to dirty it up. Unless that’s the kind of man he is!

Maybe you shouldn't have left her in it if you wanted to keep it for best 🤷‍♀️
