Split night

We are currently having our first split night and al i have to say is what the frickkkk is this ?!?!?! The past 2 weeks my LG has been horrendous at bed time, will not go to sleep unless I'm lying on the floor. Prior to this, she has always managed to self soothe with no issues so this complete 180 has thrown me completely. What do I do? 🤣 Normal day routine 6.30 wake up 10 - 12 nap 3 - 3.30 nap 7 bedtime Her max wake window is 3 hours before she gets super grouchy and hysterical so I don't even know how to navigate this nap drop, previously with dropping naps it just happened so naturally and didn't really have many "issues" with night time

Im debating transitioning to "toddler bed" so I can lay down next to her and actually het some sleep but then if she wakes up in the middle of night she can just crawl out and start playing in her room which will be chaotic My mind is running with a hundred thoughts right now lol I don't know if whatever we are going through feels more intense because I'm back at work full time so it's moors draining or is this genuinely the worse stage we've gone through so far 😫

I wouldn’t drop a nap I’d defo make the first nap shorter she is using that nap to catch up on nighttime sleep then it turns into a vicious circle the following night. I’d wake her at 11 Then try and do a 2-3 nap bed for 7 maybe try that xx

We’re having the same issue having dropped to 1 nap at 12 months. Since she was 5 months we’ve read her story, kissed good night and left the room but she’s been hysterical for a good few weeks now. It’s not like we’ve even got the choice to leave her to see if she calms herself down anymore as she’s standing up, trying to climb out and banging her head. Without doubt the hardest period so far as we’d got used to sleep! It’s the same after a wake up, it takes ages to leave the room. She has to be asleep. In the day I can’t leave the room either. She had a tough few days with my Mum last week but weirdly fine at nursery (I’m back at work as of last week). Running on empty and feeling deflated about everything 😔

@Rachel agreed. That’s what I’d do too. Count how many hours sleep she gets in a 24 hour period. Remove how much you want over night, and split the rest for naps. For a 15 month it’s typically 12-14 hours in 24 hours, with 10-12 overnight.
