Moany child 😞😞

Our 16 month olds tantrums and bad moods are really getting to me. My partner is so much more patient than I am, and I feel bad for complaining but her whingey cry goes right through me. She wants what she can’t have, she wants me then doesn’t want me. Feel like she’s so much happier around others. She really is a happy and sweet girl too, and brings me so much joy and laughter, but I’m finding the tough moments really tough and hard to control. I feel snappy and stressed. It worries me that everywhere I read (admittedly, social media) says it just gets worse, and just you wait for the twos or threes.

My son is the same. I think it must be there age. There at the point where they want to tell you what they want but aren’t able to yet and I can imagine they feel quite frustrated with it. I always found that every time something starts that you find difficult it doesn’t go away. You find a way to understand it and be able to navigate it. I’m sure we will all do the same with this. It is really stressful and I’m also really snappy with it. Don’t be hard on yourself! X

Same …. The noise cripples me! I can’t do anything or think about anything when she makes the whingy noise! It’s too much! And my partner is much more patient too! I put that down to the fact that he has more him time whereas I have more parenting time! Granted that is when he’s working! But I don’t care what anyone says - working is sooo much easier lol! I feel guilty for complaining! But I’m struggling! Feel like we don’t have many nice moments as she’s too busy grumbling at me!

I could have written this!! I can't even fathom the tantrums and screaming getting worse at two, I've reached my limit now! My partner is also much more patient and it makes me feel like a total failure at times

Ahhh I am having a nightmare, I kept saying I didn’t think these tantrums started till 2 but she just keeps getting frustrated, struggling to get her to eat anything and just always seem to want to sleep 🫣 She’s always been so content and chilled out so it’s been hard! Shes now making her younger sister seem like a breeze 😅
