Am I a terrible mum?

I have days when I really want to just go back to work… sometimes I can’t wait for August to arrive when she will be starting nursery. The last few weeks have been horrific, she’s so miserable every single day and I just don’t know what to do… Am I the only one to feel this way?

Definitely not. I love my LO and she's a very easy baby but honestly, I'm just not cut out to be a FT stay at home mom! I've been ready to return to work a few months now and still have 2 months to go (I'm sure I'll eat my words one week into being back at work though 😂). Even though we are constantly busy, the monotony is getting to me 🙃

Not at all, I think people forget that we all had lives and routines, things we liked to just get up and go do before the little ones came along and then we got dropped into motherhood without an instruction book 😂 completely valid feeling and you’re definitely not a bad mam you’re just human 🥰

I went back at the end of February, and honestly, I was soooo ready to go back to work. I have bad ppd and have had 2 major abdominal surgery’s so my maternity leave has been shit. I think I’m a much better mother having her 4 days a week and working 3, I still don’t have time for myself as I’m either at work or with her. But I’m so much more present and calm and enjoy my time with LO even when she’s being a grump.

Not a bad mum at all it can be overwhelming. I unfortunately am the other way I am absolutely dreading my little boy going to nursery and me going back to work - not sure if it's cas I'm a single mum and he spends all of his time with me but I am just not ready for the big change

Not bad at all! I went back when my little boy was 7 months old (he’s 10 months next week) and I think it was the best thing for us both. He’s thriving in a childcare setting and I look forward to my 4 days off with him so much now, I pack them with plans because I have the energy after having some time to myself (even though it’s work, but you know what I mean haha).
