Potty training

Moms! Ones who have graduated from 2 under 2 a bit. How have you potty trained your older child, with the younger one on the move? Mine are 17 months apart. Oldest is 2 yrs 3 months. Young one is 10 months and constantly moving, similar to sibling. I want to start potty training but I’m worried and really don’t know how to go about it with young one as a flight risk haha Help. Advice needed. TIA

Potty training them together ❤️ My 15 month old started pottying at 8 months when she could sit upright and would go sit on a little potty when big bro went. It's good that there's no real expectation for them to use the potty, but you'd be surprised that your youngest will start going too. It was easiest for me to keep baby in sight and feeling included

I started potty trained my oldest at 2.5 and my youngest was 16 months at the time. Approximately the same age gap as you have. We ran into some constipation issues and my oldest wasn’t fully trained until a little before 3. But, around 18 months my youngest started sitting on the potty and getting practice. We did no pressure and followed her lead and she was fully trained before 2. Both kids were sitting on the potty when we went. I am not sure how your home is laid out. But, maybe you could put a playpen near the bathroom? There is a lot of trips when you get started. We were going every 30 minutes. We had a potty seat for the toilet and a small kids potty. So, our youngest would hop on the kids one while her sister used the regular toilet with the seat.

Started potty training today… absolute fail 😂 every time I was breastfeeding baby my little boy had a wee or poo somewhere he shouldn’t. I had to ditch my baby to clean up before the mess got walked everywhere, then baby started crying cause he was all gulpy and burpy 😅🥴 we go again tomorrow x
