Hi, I have a 5 week old ebf and I’m now getting worried as her symptoms are not getting any better. She’s constantly grunting and straining and turning red, constant wet wind, she makes faces like she’s had something sour especially after feed and the only way she’ll sleep is if she’s on my chest up right. She’s also always sneezing , coughing and hiccuping very often.

Have you tried stopping dairy intake to see if it gets better? I would stop all dairy intake for about 6 weeks and then if it improves have dairy one day and then if it starts again you can confirm with doctors about cmpa that’s what they say. My LO had silent reflux - was so scary as I’m FTM but I took him to an osteopath and he had like 4 treatments and it improved dramatically (colic, reflux etc.). If she was born via c-section they tend to have it worse x
she’s a c section baby. What type of treatments to do the do for silent reflux ? I hate seeing how uncomfortable she seems after feeds x
will definitely try cutting dairy, hopefully it does something x

My LO was a c-section baby too and the osteopath explained that c-section babies often have a harder time with their digestive system than vaginal birthed babies. He said that because they don’t go through the process of being straightened out a bit during the vaginal birth process, due to being cut out and not squeezed, their bowels don’t get unraveled at all. As they grow bigger and have more room, the bowel straightens but c-section babies need help to unravel it. The osteopath did exercises and massage with him to unravel it a bit and gave me exercises to do with him after every feed. It worked wonders honestly. Saw the difference after first session and only needed 4. I recommend because they will do their own assessment, check their skull and digestive system and decide what treatment is appropriate and will help the most for them x
oh I didn’t know that. I’ll definitely have a look and try to find one near me. Hopefully it helps get rid of her discomfort. Thank you xx
