He picks and chooses lol
We got the silicone plates. And I learned with my first baby that they throw the food when they're far from the ground. So I just got her a little table/chairs so she's never really went through this phase. When she started dumping the food, we stopped using the high chair at that point and she's hasn't done it since. We also use the suction plates at first until we could trust her not to dump it out.
I start off with a plate and then have to remove it because he wants to throw it. I give him a fork he tries so hard to use it but when he misses the food he gets so mad and things start to fly. So I usually let him eat a bit and then I hand him the fork or spoon so if he starts to throw at least he ate something.
Ours will eat yogurt with a spoon pretty good but I don't give him enough opportunities to practice honestly. I know he's ready for a cup because I caught him using a cup to drink his bath water 😅 I've just been pregnant and a little lazy on him practicing with utensils/ open cups more
She tries bump is still struggling to actually pick the food up so typically the spoon is empty lol but still good to give them the spoon or fork to practice the motion
