Did anyones Dr say to not sleep on your back past 20 weeks?? I have been trying to sleep on my sides as much as possible and it’s almost impossible 😩… I’ll be 20 weeks, in 5 weeks and I’m not a point of sleeping on either sides. Im nervous for the 20th week approaching and how ill be able to sleep

Get a pregnancy wedge cousin that keeps you cosy and in place on your side. It's OK to roll onto your back but better to sleep on your side

Yes need to sleep on your side unfortunately but it's usually 27 weeks in as that's when you're heavy enough to squish the vein in your back who supplies blood to your baby. I am also a back sleeper and hated this part of pregnancy 😩 Get a good pregnancy pillow and hang in there 🥲

I’ve been having quite bad back ache so go on my back for a few mins to stretch it out but I usually get a little sensation in my tummy when it’s time to roll onto my side.

I am usually a side sleeper and found sleeping in any position uncomfortable after the 2nd trimester. Its honestly the worst part of pregnancy for me, but the lack of sleep will prepare you for the newborn stage 🤞 A full body wrap around pregnancy pillow is what I used, but I abandoned it for the last few weeks as it was less comfortable than just putting a pillow between my legs after a certain point.

If it’s comfortable it’s not causing harm. If it’s pinching your vena cava you’ll feel like 💩 and want to roll over anyway.

I’m a massive back sleeper 😅 And sometimes it was the only way to get comfortable. But you’ll reach a point that the pressure of everything will be sooo uncomfortable that sleeping on your side will be the only way to sleep 😅 But once I had my baby, I got the best sleep ever once I could get back on my back 🤣

it can be be a hard switch having to not sleep on your back because a lot of us naturally do it! 😩 I used to stack up all my pillows so I was sleeping still “on my back” just not completely flat. That’s the whole point, sleeping on our backs can reduce the circulation of blood and oxygen to our baby, so that is why they say no more back sleeping😭 When on your left side, put a pillow on your back to help keep you there and try a pillow between your legs to help with any hop or pelvic pain! & congratulations! You’re almost halfway there 🥳
