Dummies!

Does anyone's toddlers still have a dummy? We did our first night last night without one and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! I am dreading nap time though 😅

We ditched dummies in January, just after turning 2. We lost naps for a week or two and then had to get her to sleep with a hand on her tummy for a couple weeks before she went back to falling asleep independently. Her sleep got better though as she would often wake up in the night and need the dummy giving back. Now she’s used to not having it, she gets herself back to sleep. Good luck and hope it keeps going well. Xx

We stopped dummies around January because my son was biting holes in them. We found night time a breeze. Nap time was trickier, not because he was upset but because he wouldn’t stop chatting even to himself 😂 He asked for it a few times but within a few days he was fine without it. We do find sometimes he doesn’t go to sleep as quickly but this is the new normal. He’s perfectly content still.

Thanks both! Nap time was actually very smooth and she didn't ask for it at all! Had a two hour nap too! That doesn't happen often anymore! I don't want to get too excited but so far so good 😂
