Am I in the wrong?
We are going on holiday tomorrow morning to visit my husbands family for a week and I have a lot to pack still. My husband went for a run this morning at 5:30 with his friend so he is tired.
At 9am I said is it ok if I go up and pack some more bits and you keep and eye on our toddler (for context our toddler is a climber) my husband said yes. So i went up and 5 minutes later I came down to grab something and my husband was on the sofa with his eyes closed and toddler was sitting on the other sofa. Our toddler doesn't sit still for long and he is high energy and my husband is a deep sleeper. The other day my husband was having a nap with our son and our son fell off the bed and my husband left him there and went back to sleep (husband sees no problem in that but I do). Our convo went like this
Me: keep an eye means keep your eyes open and watch him please so I can pack
Husband: he was fine he is on the sofa with the tv on
Me: but for how long he doesn't sit still if you were tired just tell me and I would pack later
H: why are you being so dramatic
Me: because he climbs up and I would rather prevent or catch him if or when he falls
H: stop being fucking pathetic
Me: don't swear or call me names it's not nice
Him: well don't be fucking pathetic then and I won't swear or call you fucking names
Me: stop swearing infront of our son
H: fuck off you're pathetic
I didn't reply and walked away. Am I in the wrong?
After he tried to gaslight me and said he swore and called me names because of what i said. I've told him before to not call me names or swear, especially infront of our son who is picking up words. He also called him a little shit because he spilt his milk.
He is in the military incase that names any difference
No you are not in the wrong- he should not be speaking to you or your son like that.
