I didn’t have a laparoscopy but I did have a laparotomy (open surgery) 4 weeks ago today for removal of ovary/tube, huge endometrioma cyst and a biopsy it’s there they found endo on my bowel and bladder. In terms of recovery I felt pretty good after 2 weeks considering and 4 weeks on I’m going back to work on Monday. I would suggest moving around as quick as you can just walking around the house I did stay in bed for around 8 days after mine and just getting up after a while to walk around upstairs and then went outside for a short walk after 8 days there has been times I’ve over done it and had a bit of pain but all good other than that. Everyone is different, take your time x
Bother them, go do it now. It's amazing to have a rant online, but unless your willing to make genuine connections and work at them, we can't come help lift a kettle or put your shoes on after a surgery x (I say with love!) GO BOTHER THEM! (you're not a bother) 1- mint tea and gum 2- easy meals /batch cook before 3- a good flask, my husband made me tea before he left as I couldn't lift a kettle for a few days, so it stayed hot and was loads smaller /easier. 4- get walking as early and as much as possible! 5- try buy things to make you happy whilst recovering, so puzzles or magazine, you'll sleep ALOT but between it's nice to get up for something! And just personally I got loads of different pads because I hate the hospital ones and also loads of different types of knickers and p.js and none slip slippers Absolutely best of luck, super happy to chat - but get that home support too honey, I had a really hard time with mine and I'm glad my mum and husband knew how nervous I was x
Hey I am always happy to chat. I had my first laparoscopy today and unfortunately it was too advanced for them to do anything today but still have the scars and incisions so can let you know that goes 😊
