Huge problem

Okay guys so uh…. Yeah. I am three days post op emergency spine surgery. They took my blood Sunday to make sure I wasn’t pregnant. Monday was surgery. I am due my period tomorrow but having no symptoms. I thought it may be from all the medicine but something told me to take a test. 3 tests, all faint positives. The picture doesn’t do much justice, but I assure you, it’s there. Do you see it?

Yeah I can see it, very faint but that’s what my first positive looked like!

I see it

I see it

If you see it, then its positive

Wouldn’t a blood test have shown that? Or too early? I’m going to call my doctor and see if anything I’m on can cause a false positive, but based off what I read that answer is no.

With a test this faint, it’s likely your hcg levels are still pretty low, so if the blood test was several days before this, it’s possible that it wouldn’t have been detected at that point I’d guess

@Jules yes the blood test was Sunday putting me at 6dpo. Today I’m 10dpo. I guess it’s just a wait, and see.

Ah yeah 6dpo is the earliest possible day implantation would even happen so you wouldn’t technically be pregnant until that’s happened

@Jules my surgeon is going to have a field day with this lol 😆

i definitely see it!

For sure!

The timing of this is insanity. We have been ttc for a year. We stopped when my back got bad a couple months ago. I was scheduled for surgery THIS weekend and it was pushed up as an emergency to Monday (admitted sunday). 3 days post op this happens? This has to be a fluke. There’s no way. Medicine causing it?! Blood test 6dpo negative? I went and checked my records to see if I could see values and it didn’t show values just said “negative” for pregnancy.

Someone higher up definitely is playing games lol. That was an immediate “ur back is fixed let’s do this” ordeal not wasting any time and I don’t know whether to be petrified or happy. All the meds in hospital, all the meds now, the anesthesia, the fact I had bone removed and a herniated disc. I’m petrified. Can I even carry a child at this point?
