Food

Anyone else’s child going through a random phase with food? It’s so frustrating and I’m really struggling and end up having to give him pre made baby dinners from Sainsbury’s. Everything I give him he throws on the floor. He will eat fruit and vegetables but doesn’t seem to eat meat. He won’t eat fish fingers, chicken goujons, plain chicken, beef, chips, potato waffles. I made him gammon tonight and it went all over the floor and spat out. Yet at daycare on a Friday he’s eating chicken and broccoli bake, ham sandwiches and stew. I’m at a loss. I don’t have much time when I get home as he eats his dinner early. I got cross with him this evening and it did nothing-I feel awful and he cried. It’s hard to feel you can’t even cook for your child.

Food refusal at this age is totally normal. I always give fruit/veg with every meal because I know she will eat it. If she throws it i just pick it up and put it back on her tray without any reaction. If she does it again I take it away and I domt make her anything else. She's actually really good at telling me if she's hungry and ill either give her what she had originally or just a small snack.

Yeap my little boy is like this it's hard as we cook proper foodn and they don't eat it sometimes I just give him premade food yes I feel bad abit for giving him it but I'd rather him have something
