Transition to Cot

Hi mums, Can anyone help with advice on how to transition my 11-month-old from a Next to Me crib to a cot? He’s been sleeping in the crib since birth, but the past month has been really rough—he keeps waking up again and again through the night, crying, and only settles when we bring him into our bed. We’re exhausted and just got him a proper cot, but I’m wondering why he suddenly started waking up so much. It’s been a month now and I’m not sure what’s causing it or how to make the transition easier. Any tips or experiences would really help!
