Combi feeding constipation - help please!

Hey everyone just wondering if anyone else is combi feeding their baby and having trouble with baby not pooping. I put baby to breast throughout the day and whenever she is still hungry and not getting enough I give a top up of formula. So about 200-300ml of formula a day in total. She’s 6 weeks old. She seems to only do a poo every 3-5 days. The last one was Sunday and it seemed very painful for her :( she did 3 poos on Sunday and has done nothing since. Up until Sunday we were giving her Mamia formula the powder one. But after the straining/painful poo I gave her ready made Aptimil and then shortly after she had a very liquidy poo. Since then we’ve only been giving her breastmilk and ready made Aptimil but once again no poo since Sunday. The midwives said it’s normal for them to only poo like once a week so long as she isn’t in pain but given what happened on Sunday I’m anxious about that happening again. She was screaming the whole time and I ended up crying it was so sad seeing her like that. Has anyone else had experience with this and found anything particularly helpful? We are doing tummy rubs, bicycle legs, feet massages every day and still no poo. :( Thanks in advance!

Have you tried using the windi by Frida baby? I know it seem wrong to use on a baby but it’ll help realer any gas or poop I did it with my son and my friend did it with her daughter since her daughter suffer a lot with gas and reflux

My baby was a majority breastfed and they said it was normal when he would go every 2-5 days. When I started incorporating more formula 4-500 and said he pooped every second day my doctor gave me a prescription ( lactulose ) to help him poop more often. He just started having straining issues today. I'm also wanting other remedies!

There’s also a thing called water gripe not sure if it will help.

@Marina did the straining issues start after he started the lactulose? My girl seems happy most of the time it was just when she had to go the other day she wasn’t happy doing it

@Michelle did you find it made them better, or made them poo? How did you decide when to use it?

Gripe water massively helped my baby girl poo!

@Kathryn with the windi it helped them almost immediately with the pooping. The gripe water my friend told me it help a whole a lot. Almost instantly.

@Kathryn he only ended up straining the one day. He had lactulose 2 days prior. I gave him more lactulose and he hasn't stained since
