In the same boat as you and wondering if the room is dark enough now it’s getting lighter earlier
I could have written this myself, we’re exactly the same. She’s also waking in the night too. The only thing we do or have changed is when she wakes up at that early morning window, whether that be 4am or 5:30 like it was this morning, we’ve been giving her a bottle and bringing her into our bed. She settled and she’s still asleep now (currently 7:30am). We’ve never co slept and we were against it, but for these extra few hours it’s been a god send. What I’ll do today is just give her one longer nap around 11ish (1 hour) and then a shorter nap around 2pm (30mins) and she still goes to bed for 7pm. If I didn’t bring her into our bed we’d all be up and awake! Xx
Mine used to wake up after 6am but for the last month or so it’s been around 5am! But this morning she woke up at 6:30 🙌 and yesterday 6am. She still woke at 5am but was happy so I left her and she went back to sleep herself. Bed time was just after 7pm and her last nap she was awake at 4pm. I’m been concentrating on her daytime sleep as sometimes she has a lot…I think it was too much! I’ve increased wake windows to as close to 3 hours as possible in the day (currently probably getting to around 2:30 before she’s asleep) and the last one is now 3 hours before bed. Found it hard to begin with but it’s stating to fit together! How much sleep is she having in the day?
Oh and I’ve also binned off a calming bedtime routine as she’s not that kind of chill baby 😂. She used to thrash around in her crib no matter how long awake before! Now we have a high energy last wake window and she’s falling asleep so much quicker and calmer!
Mine is like that. What I’ve found that works for us is that he stays up for about 20-40mins (change nappy, let him play a bit) and then get him on the bed and we co-sleep for a couple of hours. It’s been like that for us since it started with the earlier sunrise. For example today that is cloudy he woke up at 8am and we haven’t changed anything to his routine
I take her into bed with me if she is up from 4 or 5, either next to me or on my chest and at least I get to sleep a bit longer, usually. Sometimes she is up from 5.30 though.
Mines the same. She used to sleep until 6/7am but now wakes up at 5 nearly every night. No matter how many naps she has in the day she always wakes up at the same time. She had 3 meals a day and 4 bottles although last bottle she barely had 30ml. By 6pm she is tired and screams so we can’t bring bedtime later. She had 2 naps a day and is awake from 2/3pm until bedtime. Now idea what to do. I hope in time she goes to bed later
Look at daytime sleep. Ideally no more than 3hrs total naps a day and wake up if a nap is 2hrs. Then increase wake windows slightly so the last wake window before bed is 3-4hrs to increase sleep pressure. Also make sure blackout on the windows in bedroom. Some children are just early wakers though. My 6 year old still gets up between 5-6am every day and has done since a baby.
8 month sleep regression ladies. Can come early at 7 months. In the thick of it now with teething too. There is a light at the end of the tunnel x
p.s. I’ve tried keeping her in her room until 6 but she makes so much noise and wakes my 4 year old!
