We do milk and a home made oat bar or on occasion a brioche - he then has his breakfast at Nursey on Nursey days x
My little boy is the same. He always has a little wake up snack. Sometimes a homemade biscuit thing or a banana. Sometimes I just go straight in with breakfast and then give him a second breakfast if he asks for it later. My hubby is a hungry morning person too!
The best thing to do is to always follow your baby’s hunger cues and feed on demand. It seems like they’re eating a lot but that’s a good thing, they are burning so much energy through activity and growth every day. My baby is only 9.5 months old and is very active, already having 3 meals plus 2 snacks, and sometimes asking for more if someone else is eating etc. We usually do breastmilk, banana and porridge at her first wake up followed by a larger meal after her first nap. It may also be worth checking whether the child is getting enough protein etc in their meals? As well some “slow carbs” which release energy over time and can help stay fuller for longer. I also plan to soon leave a plate with fruit and veggies at her reach throughout the day so she can grab a snack when she wants to. It’s something her nursery does and I really like it, maybe that could help too? Good luck ☺️
@Aggs hey, love this idea of leaving veggies out, what veggies to the nursery leave out? My LO is 11months
My son is the same way. I make a big batch of overnight oats or chia pudding 2 times a week and that is his first meal so I can do something warm a bit later at 8:30am. Then a snack around 10, lunch at 11:30, nap, grazing plate when he wakes up at 2:30 and dinner. Sometimes even a snack after dinner if he doesn’t like or eat much of dinner
He’s 16 months x
